50 Years in Geneva - The Swedish International School of Geneva Celebrates!
In 1974, The Swedish School of Geneva was founded as a small non-profit school exclusively serving Swedish children. Now, 50 years later, it serves beyond the Swedish community, welcoming international families with more than 50 nationalities. Read on to find out what makes SISOG unique in its 50th year here in Geneva.
Pedagogical Meal: SISOG’s Unique Approach
Following the Swedish curriculum, SISOG embraces “pedagogical meals,” making mealtime a rich, interactive learning experience, promoting not only healthy eating habits but also social, linguistic, and environmental awareness.
Embracing the Outdoors: SISOG in the Forest
Once a month, our Primary students embark on an exciting excursion to Terrain Jakob, a stunning outdoor space that serves as both a classroom and a playground. These outings are more than just a day in the woods; they are a vital part of our educational program.
A New Adventure with Nils and Friends
Each year at SISOG the entire community from Preschool to Primary comes together to create and perform an original theatrical production. During this special year, the school's 50th, the show centered around a re-imagining of the beloved Swedish classic “The Adventures of Nils Holgersson.”
