Primary School

The Primary school is an inspiring and supportive learning environment, where students, ages 4-12, take a leading role in their own education. We strive for our students to become responsible, social, inquisitive citizens of the world, equipped with the tools to make informed choices.

Based on the Swedish national curriculum, we expand the curriculum to ensure pupils may continue their education in a Swiss or International environment.

Swedish-French Bilingual Section

We offer a bilingual program in Swedish-French or English-French. Following the principle of ‘one teacher, one language,’ each group has two teachers who each only speak their native tongue, helping children to develop both languages.

Based on the Swedish curriculum, children may attain the highest academic standards in a relaxed, close-knit school community that fosters empathy for one another and a lifelong love of learning. Pupils develop skills in languages, art, mathematics, music and social studies through a mixture of organised study and creative play.

A typical day involves circle time, theme-based learning, crafts, music, baking, sport and time outside. We often ‘move the classroom outside’, giving children the opportunity to explore their environment and practise their knowledge.

The main focus is on developing the skills and character of each child to meet the needs of the Epreuves Cantonales and the Swedish national tests, and to adapt to senior school.

Each class in the primary school bears the name of an important location in Sweden.

TAILORED CLASSES

Our teachers work closely with parents to better understand how we may tailor our bilingual classes to meet each child’s needs and interests.

Group sizes are small, allowing for more time for pupil - teacher interaction.
